It's been a while (TAIN)

Dominique sat happily at a table outside the Fortiscue's Ice Cream Parlour, with a small bowl of double chocolate ice cream in front of her. Domi had just said goodbye to her brother and sister, and as always she was left with a warm happy feeling that only came with spending time with her family.

Settling back in her chair, she scooped a good helping of ice cream onto the spoon before raising it to her lips, her eyes scanning the bustling crowd around her as she smiled slightly, enjoying her moment of stillness. Diagon Alley was one of her favourite places to be aside from home so she tried to spend as much time as she could here. As she lowered her spoon back to the bowl, someone knocked into the back of her chair. Turning to see who it was Dominique came face to face with someone she hadn't seen in many years, but a friend nevertheless, smiling softly she looked up at...

Tain walked down the road and away from the bank and gave a soft sigh, his adoptive brothers had sent him their birthday money and so he had dropped it all off in the bank and now felt rather upset. All his own friends had gone off in to London and found jobs there and done things there and he was still outside the school, sure he got to see his adoptive siblings loads and his business partner came to see him loads to discuss work and lately to look after him in his depressive state from the death of his two adoptive parents.

He walked down the street and looked up only to we his rival broom shop and chuckled to himself as he saw a broom he had helped to design in it's window with a tag of 250 galleons. Tain had been paid more then ten times that and his partner had got even more seeing as she had really come up with it. But of course, he was so wrapped up in his mental gloating that he bumped in to a chair and suddenly stopped. He held his hands up, "I'm so very sorry, I should have looked where I was...." he started before looking at the girl he had disturbed at the ice cream parlour and then broke in to a grin as she recognised her face. "Dom? Domi Weasley?" he asked with a bright grin that very few had seen in the most recent weeks

Dominique stood from her chair and nodded her head at her old friend Tain, "The one and only...been a long time Tain!" she said with a bright smile lighting up her pretty face. Leaning up to the taller man she wrapped her arms around his shoulders, giving him a brief, friendly hug before she pulled away.

"How've you been?" she asked, her hands slipping into the back pockets of her shorts. Smiling again she waved to the seat on the opposite side of the table, "Do you have time to sit and catch up?" she asked, hoping he would, it was always nice to catch up with old friends from school.

Tain gave small chuckle as he was quickly hugged before he took his hand from his pockets to try not to seemed quite so unfriendly or rude ,"I'm good to sit and talk and such like, as long as I get some pancakes and cream out of it" he said with a small snigger and a smirk as he slipped past his old classmate and over towards the other chair on the other side of the table.

He paused before sitting down and slipped his hands up to undo his dark green but red rimmed cloak and then hung it over the back of his chair and then laughed at himself ,"you'll have to forgive the cloak, I always love to wear one" he said with a smile as he shifted behind the table and sat down and then looked at his old friend. "what about those pancakes then?" he asked with a grin and chuckle before he crossed his legs over, one over the other and then leant back in his chair and relaxed as best he could

Dominique laughed at Tain as he sat down, for a moment she just looked at him before chuckling, shaking her head and turning to head back into the parlour, "Yes boss..." she joked lightheartedly. Heading over to the counter she ordered the pancakes and ice cream, and carried them back out to Tain, where she placed them on the table in front of him and bowed.

"Your pancakes and Ice cream good sir..." she said before ruffling his hair and going to sit back down on her own chair. For a moment she just looked at Tain before smiling and picking up her own spoon, stirring the ice cream her bowl around, "Your looking good Tain, hows the buisness going?" she asked.

Tain almost considered purring as his hair was ruffled but thought better of it and then picked up a spoon and rolled it around his fingers before stabbing his pancake and cutting a corner off as his friend sat down across from him. "it's going well for the moment, I've just sold a new broom design alongside my new business partner. We made a very large deal for it and now it's being sold by the nimbus company, I of course had to buy five for my siblings so some of that profit is long gone now but most of it is away in savings to allow the other kiddies funding to get homes when they are over with school" he said in long breath before taking a bite off his spoon and then nodding back across the table. "what about yourself? Last thing I knew, you were off to heal the ill and sick and stupid. How did that ever go?" he asked as he remembered the Christmas that Martin had to go to St Mungo's with a carrot up his nose and a orange in his left ear
